This has been said multiple times already: "This year's draft class will be the deepest in recent memory,"

Just how deep exactly will it be after the January 27, 2021 deadline is something that remains to be seen.

On Thursday, the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announced that the number of amateur players who are hoping to be drafted during the 2021 PBA Rookie Draft on March 14 has already risen to 40. The latest to throw their names into the mix are former De La Salle Green Archer guard in Andrei Caracut and, Tzaddy Rangel who played for National University.  The duo was also joined by fellow draft hopeful, Jun-Jun Bonsubre in submitting their applications at the PBA office in Libis, Quezon City with the three being accompanied by their agent, Charlie Dy.

While Bonsubre played for the San Beda Red Lions in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), he was able to fully-showcase his game during his runs in Mandaluyong and Zamboanga in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).

Also among the players who submitted their applications are Dhon Reverente, Ben Adamos, RR de Leon, Med Salim, and Reymark Acuno.

We can expect the number to rise higher as we approach the deadline.
