Controversy surrounded Friday’s game in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup between Phoenix Pulse and Blackwater after Bobby Ray Parks’ girlfriend and showbiz personality Maika Rivera accused Calvin Abueva of doing a lewd gesture against her.
The act came late in Phoenix Pulse’s victory over Blackwater last May 31 when Rivera accused Abueva of doing a lewd gesture while calling her the “b” word during a break in the game.
“Calvin Abueva called my girl a ___, and on top of that jacked off in front of her. You don’t do that to no type of fan, no family, no loved one,” said Parks.
Abueva, however, said it was Rivera who started the mess, accusing her that she said curse words and flashed a dirty finger to him.
“Dumaan ako sa kanila tapos nag-standing position sila, tatlo sila. Nag-tayuan po sila at nagpalakpakan at tinignan kung anong score. Ang sabi sa akin, ‘Bye, ___ you,’” said Abueva during a live video on his Instagram account.
The PBA is set to investigate the matter, with legal counsel Melvin Mendoza leading the investigation.
