Aquinas booked its second victory with a blowout win over University of St. La Salle

Exile Aquinas crushes the University of St. La Salle by 49 points to notch their second straight win in the Pinoyliga Cup Inter-Alumni Division.

Aquinas outscored La Salle, 81-34, in the final three quarters to break out from a tight first quarter where they only led by 2. The Aquinas stamped their class by dominating in the third canto as they outgunned La Salle 38-7 which stretched their 7-point half time lead into 38 points at the end of the said period.

The team also shown team effort as 14 players from the Aquinas side have registered at least two points in the scoresheet.

Back to back player of the game from the Exile Aquinas Lawrence Rivera almost notched a double-double performance with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Giving him main support are Mario Reyes and Adrian de Luna who scored 14 and 13 respectively to secure the win for the guys in black for the second straight week of the tournament.

Aquinas also more than doubled the rebounds and assists of La Salle as they recorded 54 rebounds, 29 assists, and 15 steals compared to La Salle's 21 rebounds, 13 assists, and 7 steals.

La Salle's tried to keep in step with Aquinas by leaning on defense as they registered 5 steals in the second quarter alone. Unfortunately, Exile Aquinas domination is too much for the men in white and green and they suffered a huge beating. Chris Borja is the lone double-digit scorer for La Salle with 19 points. He is supported by Wix Talam, Mark Argel, and Julius Teruel who all finished with 8 points in the game.

The Aquinas is now 2-0 and sits at the top of the standings.
