It is the first Western Conference Finals appearance of the Suns after 11 years in which their last appearance was in 2010, in a star-studded Suns team of Steve Nash and Amar'e Stoudemire lost to the Los Angeles Lakers who later on win the Championship. The team will wait to the winner of Jazz-Clippers match up to face them in the Conference Finals as the team is looking for their first ever NBA Finals appearance.

Nikola Jokic, who was ejected before the end of 3rd Quarter after for his Flagrant 2 Foul on Suns guard Cameron Payne, tallied a respectable double-double performance with his 22 points, 11 rebounds with 4 assists. Michael Porter Jr. added 20 points and Monte Morris tallied 19 points and 6 assists as the Nuggets continued to play without their starting guard Jamal Murray.
