Ceres reunion continues as Lopez-Mendy, Odawara and co. signed up by United City

United City continues to reunite the players from Ceres-Negros, as they sign eight more players in their inaugural squad from last season, bringing the total to thirteen.

Forward Robert-Lopez Mendy, midfielder Takashi Odawara and defender Dennis Villanueva headline the club's new acquisitions as the newly-formed side continues their signing spree from the former Busmen ahead of their debut season in the Philippines Football League.

Both Lopez-Mendy and Odawara were United City's first foreign signings, with the latter being designated at the Asian player slot as part fo .

Apart from the trio, it also signed up three Negrenses in Arnie Pasinabo, Tristan Robles and Joshua Dutosme.

Capping off the acquisitions are Angelo Marasigan and Hikaru Minegishi, who took to Instagram his desire to get back in action as football came to a halt since March because of the coronavirus pandemic.


" I can’t come back in the past," he said. "I just look forward and I’ll try to working hard until end of the season."

As of this writing, the club is expected to announce more signings as they are still looking to get back prized Spanish forward Bienvenido Maranon and are in talks with Serbian manager Risto Vidakovic, after inking a deal with Stephan Schrock as their inaugural captain and playing assistant coach.
