Just in case you don't know it yet, the video gaming industry in the country is expected to reach higher heights as its revenue is projected to hit 840 million US Dollars this 2020 and that number is expected to hit 968 million US Dollars in 2025. Out of the 840 million Dollars that the industry is expected to make this year, 489 million Dollars will come from the sales that it has been garnering from the sales of mobile games. After all, most of us are now stuck in front our of smartphones due to the modified enhanced community quarantine that the national government has placed upon Metro Manila and other regions due to the ongoing 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

And while this pandemic has led to a big chunk of Filipinos losing their sources of livelihood, gaming companies in the country are looking to keep the ball rolling for the gaming industry as these companies, according to Alvin Juban who is the president of the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP), are hiring 2,000 employees. Jobs that will be needed to be filled are in the areas of programming, quality assurance services, art services, and game support. Additionally, GDAP will hold training and certification examinations for aspiring Filipino computer graphics (CG) artists.  Job openings and training opportunities can be seen at the website and Facebook page of GDAP.

This will be a perfect opportunity for both the video gaming and eSports industries to switch to a higher gear. If there's one thing that makes both industries interesting to many, it allows one to work and enjoy playing and creating games while earning money. It's a dream job.
