Eumir Marcial to Train Under Freddie Roach: The Possibility

The tandem of Senator Manny Pacquiao and legendary trainer Freddie Roach is almost inseparable as we cannot talking about the legendary boxing career of the eight-division champion without talking about his trainer. But, with a new boxer signing a professional career under Manny Pacquiao (MP) Promotions, Freddie Roach may have gotten himself a new Olympic-bound boxer whose boxing career is about to start.

Over the weekend, MP President Sean Gibbons revealed that there's a real possibility of Eumir Marcial being able to fight in the undercard of Manny Pacquiao's next fight but also, Marcial could also end up being trained by Freddie Roach- a scenario Gibbons himself said would be perfect. Not only did Marcial sign a professional contract with MP Promotions, but he is also expected to start his professional career in Los Angeles which only makes sense that Roach will be the one to train the 24-year old Marcial as the boxing world saw how the legend that is Manny Pacquiao began inside Roach's Wild Card Gym near Hollywood. More importantly, Gibbons also noted that the 60-year old Freddie Roach has already established a good working relationship with Filipino boxers as he also trained boxing standouts such as Donnie Nietes, Mark Magsayo, and Arthur Villanueva back in 2016 when Villanueva and company were in the final stretch of their preparation for Pinoy Pride 38. Roach also trained former super flyweight champion, Gerry Penalosa. 

An Olympic-bound Eumir Marcial who signed a professional contract with a company being run by a legendary boxer and has the golden chance of being trained by a legendary trainer. It's the perfect start for Marcial's career as a professional boxer.
