Former Ginebra giant Slaughter signs up with Serbian super-agent, desires to continue Gilas career

In the most recent development since leaving PBA crowd darlings Barangay Ginebra, Greg Slaughter revealed that he had signed up with one of the world's biggest sporting agencies.

The Gregzilla revealed that he was the first Filipino cager to sign with well-renowned agency BeoBasket, which was owned by Miško Ražnatović, a Serbian lawyer and a FIBA-licensed agent.

Ražnatović himself was a former player in his native country before forming the said agency in 1995, and also owns Belgrade-based club Mega Basket that plays in both the Serbian and the Adriatic League.

With most of the clients came from Europe, the former top overall pick of the PBA joins the elite stable of players under BeoBasket, including Denver Nuggets' All-Star Nikola Jokić and Dallas Mavericks slotman Boban Marjanović.

"They represent many athletes whom I greatly admire that compete in the NBA, EuroLeague, and Asia," Slaughter said on his Instagram post that generated more than 4,000 likes and plenty of well-wishes from his former teammates and colleagues on the comments.

As he was in the United States already since he declared for a sabbatical from the PBA, Slaughter earlier expressed his commitment to Gilas Pilipinas since claiming his second gold medal in the most recent edition of the Southeast Asian Games last year.

"Wherever my journey takes me, I will always proudly represent the Philippines, especially our National Team," he then said, adding that he is keen to take part in the 2023 edition, in which he will 35 years old by then.

"I will forever be humbled by the opportunities basketball and its fans have given me."
