John Wilson leads San Juan in victory over Valenzuela

The San Juan Knights – Go For Gold got back to winning last Tuesday after winning over Valenzuela Classic, 78-68, in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Lakan Season at the Caloocan Sports Complex.

John Wilson was once again leading the charge for the Knights after contributing 20 points. He also made 4 of his 8 three-pointers for San Juan as they improved their record to 16-2. San Juan was able to get their usual form as they lost in their last game against Batangas City, 93-88.

Cedric Pelayo also helped in San Juan’s victory after he finished with 10 points, and CJ Isit, Joseph Ubalde and Mark Cardona added 8 points each.

The Knights shattered a 20-20 tie with John Wilson ending the second quarter with a three-point bomb to enter halftime with a 35-28 lead.

The lead continued to grow for San Juan as Wilson buried a three in increasing the San Juan lead to 43-29. The third quarter ended with the Knights holding a 63-48 lead.
