Kai Sotto, AJ Edu headlines tallest ever Gilas Youth pool for FIBA Under-19 World Cup

The Gilas Pilipinas Youth will have the tallest line-up so far in the history of the program for the coming FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup.

Kai Sotto and AJ Edu lead the 14-man pool that was recently named by the Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas (SBP) for the competition from June 29 to July 7 in Heraklion, Greece.

The 7-foot-1 Sotto and the 6-foot-10 Edu will also be joined by Carl Tamayo of National University, Shaun Geoffrey Chiu of Ateneo, John Bismark Lina of University of Santo Tomas, and Rhayyan Amsali of San Beda, all quality bigs who will also be part of the tall frontcourt of Gilas Pilipinas Youth.

Rounding out the pool members are Xyrus Torres of Far Eastern University, Gerry Abadiano of National University, Joshua Ramirez of Letran, Miguel Oczon of National University, Dalph Panopio of Stella Azura Roma, Sean Dave Ildefonso of National University, Terrence Fortea of National University, and James Daniel Spencer of University of the Philippines.
