Where is Kyrie Irving?

That's the question everyone, including Brooklyn Nets Head Coach Steve Nash, is asking right now.

Since playing last on January 5, Irving hasn't appeared in a National Basketball Association (NBA) game for the Nets and his reason according to the team was: "Personal reasons"

Until a video emerged on social media earlier this week showing what looked like a Kyrie Irving attending a crowded indoor party. Without wearing a mask.

Attending a party is a violation of the league's health and safety protocols for 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) which prohibits a player from attending indoor social gatherings of 15 or more people. Whether or not Irving did break the protocols is something that the NBA is now determining through an investigation.

Should the NBA find that Irving violated the protocols, he will be fined more than 400,000 US Dollars for each game that he has to miss while on quarantine. How long is he going to be quarantined depends on several factors like the setting of the said violation and the time Irving spent at the said gathering.

Acknowledging that the Nets front office is aware of the said video, Nets General Manager Sean Marks said, "We are reviewing the circumstances with both Kyrie and the NBA in order to determine compliance with health and safety protocols,

The Nets have gone 4-2 since Irving vanished and now stand at seventh in the Eastern Conference with a 6-6 record.
