Mark Barroca, Hotshots blast Dyip 105-83 to remain perfect in the PBA Philippine Cup

The Magnolia Pambansang Manok Hotshots kept their winning streak alive after blowing out Terrafirma Dyip, 105-83. Terrafirma, on the other hand, remained winless in the Philippine Cup with a 0-3 record.
Magnolia started the game with a 13-5 advantage over Terrafirma. The Dyip respond with 10 unanswered points to take the lead, 15-13. The Hotshots finished the 1st period with a 20-10 run to take a 33-25 lead over Terrafirma Dyip.
Calvin Abueva led the Pambansang Manok with 9 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
Juami Tiongson had 12 points and two three-pointers for Terrafirma.
Magnolia outscored the Dyip 25-12 in the 2nd quarter. Hotshots had 7 three-pointers in the 1st half. Sanggalang, Barroca and Abueva had 35 combined points for the Pambansang Manok at the half.
Meanwhile, Joshua Munzon only had 3 points on 1 out of 7 shooting from the field for Terrafima.
The 1st half concludes with a score of 58-37 in favor of the Magnolia Pambansang Manok Hotshots.
Terrafirma lowered Magnolia’s advantage to eight after a jump shot by Rashawn McCarthy. McCarthy scored 9 points in the third period to help the Dyip reduce the Pambansang Manok lead to 10 heading into the final quarter, 71-61.
Magnolia had a 26-point lead after their 23-7 run to start the 4th quarter, 94-68. Terrafirma Dyip never came back from that point.
The Hotshots handed Dyip their third straight loss, 105-83.
Jerrick Ahanmisi had 15 points and four made threes in the final period.
Mark Barroca was named Best Player of the Game with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Sanggalang added 18 points. Abueva had 14 points and 8 rebounds.
Roosevelt Adams tallied 25 points, 11 rebounds and 6 three-pointers. Juami Tiongson had 19 points, 2 steals and 3-4 from beyond the arc for Terrafirma Dyip.
