While the ongoing seeding games of the 2019-2020 National Basketball Association (NBA) in Orlando won't play a factor as to who will win this season's Most Valuable Player (MVP) and other major awards, it doesn't mean that the league will not recognize the players who stepped up on the gas pedal inside the house of Mickey Mouse.
The good news is: the league will name a "Player of the Seeding Games" as well as "All-Seeding Games Team" that will be selected by sportswriters and broadcasters who have been covering the bubble games since the season resumed last July. The media panel will also vote five players who will make the "All-Seeding Games Second Team". This decision by the NBA is being lauded by the basketball community around the globe as we understand that those who are playing inside the bubble have been sacrificing a lot considering the situation that we are all facing and that, players who will be recognized at the end of the seeding games will deserve it.
While there are a lot of players who could make the "All-Seeding Games Team", there are few who are already a lock and Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns is one of those guys. Booker's 35 points against the Philadelphia 76ers today led the Suns to their seventh straight win inside the bubble. But Booker isn't the lone player whose star continues to shine at Disney World. Damian Lillard is going supernova as well inside the bubble as he is the reason why the Portland Trail Blazers are still very much in contention for the final playoff berth in the Western Conference. He finished with 61 points against the Dallas Mavericks today- his third 60-point game of the season. TJ Warren of the Indiana Pacers has been elevating the Pacers inside the bubble as he is averaging 31 points per game in the seeding games which is tied for fourth-best. And of course, the Luka Magic continues to work wonders for the Dallas Mavericks as Luka Doncic remains the only player who is averaging a triple-double inside the bubble by putting up 33 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists- highlighted by his 36-point, 19-assist, and 14-rebound performance against the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks.
