Two days after he was slapped.with an indefinite ban by the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) due to the bubble trouble that the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers allegedly underwent, Aldin Ayo released a statement Friday night.
"I deeply feel that the indefinite ban imposed by the UAAP Board against me is not appropriate under the circumstances," On his next move, Ayo said in his short statement, "I will seek reconsideration of such sanction."
The Season 80 champion coach also revealed that he went on a retreat as he was both humiliated and humbled by how things turned out. "I have realized that no matter how driven and well-meaning you want to be, things just messed it. It gets you humbled, humiliated even, and we learn to painfully accept to just let things be"
The ban was "was based on the University of Santo Tomas (UST) report that showed Ayo endangering the health and well-being of the student-athletes under his charge when he conducted the training during a government-declared state of public emergency intended to arrest the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak"
