If multiple reports are to believed, the PBA will get its much-anticipated restart on October 11 Ginebra and NLEX being the opening salvo at their bubble in Pampanga.

As told in a report by Spin's veteran correspondent Reuben Terrado, the league is set to release its complete schedule of games at the Angeles University Foundation on Wednesday, October 7, but word has come out from various sources two days early about the first game in the resumption as the Road Warriors and the Gin Kings set to tip off the resumption of the Philippine Cup after it was halted for seven months owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

The said report also features the assurance of Ginebra mentor Tim Cone that their dynamic duo of LA Tenorio and Japeth Aguilar will be on board with them as they are yet to enter the bubble as of the moment.

In a separate report by FastBreak, NLEX team official Ronald Dulatre tweeted their team's first opponent for the season.

Looking to recover from their Governors' Cup meltdown last season, the Road Warriors will miss the services of veteran shooter Larry Fonacier who opted out as Kiefer Ravena and co. set to play their first game since trading slotman JP Erram to Talk N Text, as they activated then-San Juan stalwart and now rookie forward Mike Ayonayon for the restart.

Incidentally, the pair slug it out in their most recent Philippine Cup tiff at the same AUF floor last March 23, 2019 with Ginebra leaning to a 27-point performance by the homecoming Aguilar to repulse NLEX, 105-96.

The PBA held its lone game on March 8, where San Miguel sans reigning six-time MVP Junemar Fajardo made a mincemeat of Magnolia, 94-78 to open the season at the Big Dome, before the pandemic forced a massive lockdown in the country's sporting scene a week after the game.
