Back in the first round of the 2020 National Basketball Association (NBA) playoffs, the Utah Jazz held a 3-1 series lead against the Denver Nuggets but it was Denver who came back and won that series. Now, Denver is looking to repeat its success back then, this time against the second-best team in the stacked Western Conference.

The Denver Nuggets used a big second-half to come back from a 19-point deficit to beat the Los Angeles Clippers, 111-98, and force a Game Seven to determine who will face the mighty Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. Denver outscored the Clippers 64-35 in the second half including a 34-point fourth quarter.

Nikola Jokic came alive and scored 34 points to go along with 14 rebounds, and seven assists. He shot 13 for 22 from the field including four for six from the three-point line. Jamal Murray added 21 points while Gary Harris had 15 points, four assists, and four steals.  Michael Porter Jr. followed his solid performance at the end of Game Five with 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench in Game Six. The Nuggets shot 54% from the field including 48 from downtown.

Paul George led the Clippers with 33 points while Kawhi Leonard scored 25 points. Lou Williams and JaMychal Green scored 14 and 11 points respectively off the bench. Los Angeles, for the second game in a row, blew a big lead and trailed by as much as 16 points. It also didn't help that reigning Sixth Man of the Year, Montrezl Harrell only had five points in 15 minutes.

Clearly, no 3-1 series lead is safe especially if you're facing a resilient team such as the Denver Nuggets.
