For most of Game Four of the 2020 National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat went back and forth against each other. In the end, Anthony Davis had more than enough in his tank to put the game away.

Anthony Davis drilled a three-pointer with 39 seconds left and blocked a late attempt by Jimmy Butler as the Lakers went on to win 102-96 to move one win away from winning the franchise's 17th NBA championship which they can clinch with a win on Saturday (Manila time). Davis finished with 22 points, nine rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and a steal. He made two of his four attempts from the three-point line. LeBron James led the way for the Lakers with 28 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, and shot 10 for 12 from the free-throw line. Kentavious Cardwell-Pope added 15 points including five points down the stretch. Danny Green had 10 points while three other Lakers scored seven points at least. The Lakers recovered from a sloppy first half and then shot 35% from the three-point line. Los Angeles also had a 42-39 rebounding edge and a slim 34-32 edge in points in the paint.

Miami was led by Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro who scored 22 and 21 points respectively. Duncan Robinson added 17 points while Bam Adebayo scored 15 points in his first game back from an injury. The Heat actually had multiple chances of taking the lead in the fourth quarter but couldn't stop Anthony Davis and company when it mattered most. Miami shot 42% from the field, 34% from the three-point line, and missed five free throws.
