THE PBA approved the trade that sent Stanley Pringle to Barangay Ginebra. In exchange, NorthPort will get three players in Sol Mercado, Jervy Cruz, and Kevin Ferrer.
Pringle was moved to Ginebra, giving the Gin Kings an added option on the offensive end. Ginebra made another player movement following the signing of Jared Dillinger, who was picked up from the free agent list.
Meanwhile, the Batang Pier got three players in return in Mercado as well as former UST players in Cruz and Ferrer, who suited up for the Growling Tigers when Pido Jarencio was still the coach of the university.
In an interview by Spin.ph, Jarencio stated the need for the Batang Pier to make a trade with the team riddled with injuries in Nico Elorde and Jonathan Grey.
Meanwhile, Ginebra coach Tim Cone told Spin.ph his elation on the acquisition of Pringle.
