QUEZON CITY PULLS AWAY FROM PASAY, TAKES PDA BASKETBALL TITLE

Team Quezon City used a big run in the 4th quarter to pull away and beat Team Pasay, 82-71 in the PDA Basketball championship game held last Friday in North East Greenhills. 

Up by just a solitary point, Quezon City outscored Pasay 24-14 in the payoff period, led by four double-digit scorers.


Nico Husmillo led the balanced effort with 16 points (8/13 FGs), 4 rebounds, and 6 assists while Pete Ramos and Paolo Veridiano tallied 14 and 13 points, respectively.
The northern Metro Manila side's teamwork proved to be the difference as they out-assisted their southern counterparts, 20-11. QC also recorded 9 steals.
Deo Paraoan paced Pasay with 22 points while Marlon Centeno added 13.
