The Rizal Memorial Sports Complex (RMSC) in Manila and the PHILSPORTS Complex in Pasig City are in lockdown starting August 12 due to COVID-19, according to an advisory from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
In an advisory, PSC Chairman William I. Ramirez said that the two sports facilities are under lockdown “after a staff tested COVID-19 positive in the recent round of RT-PCR Testing.”
No details the lockdown duration were mentioned in the advisory.
The RMSC in Malate, Manila houses the office of the PSC and quarters for the national athletes of the Philippines. The PHILSPORTS Complex, meanwhile, contains the offices of the Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, and other national sports associations.
