San Beda A falls under the flaming Mapua Cardinals

Mapua Cardinals outrebounded SBU 48-33. They also recorded 9 steals, 3 of it came from Andrew Requez that helped their team win through their stable and strong defense.
The Cardinals went off to the second quarter managing to put their lead into double digits. Melvin Arellano makes a basket in 5:54 mark of the second period to bring their lead to ten for the first time, Sta Maria gives them a back to back two points to stretch the lead to 14 with 5:03 remaining in that quarter.
The fire continues up-to the second half where Mapua leading as much as 13, but the Red Lions didn't quit and surrender, San Beda manages to cut the deficit to 1 with a Choco Webber basket.
Erwin Sta Maria notches a double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Alfie Martinez scored 14 and Melvin Arellano with 10 to help Mapua secure the victory over San Beda.
Beda's own Shintaro Dela Cruz scored 17 in 50% shooting, Choco Webber scored 12 points with 7 rebounds in their loss.
