On a rainy Thursday evening at the Batangas City Coliseum, the San Juan Knights extend their winning start after they rip apart newcomer Socsargen, 100-77.
On the third of the five-game road-trip, the defending MPBL National Champions were simply too good against the reincarnated Marlins in a virtually one-way traffic for their fifth win in as many games.
Jhonard Clarito shone for the second straight game for San Juan, leading all scorers with 21 points on a 6/11 shooting from the field and made all of his seven shots from the foul line.
His shooting display was just a small part of the efficiency of the wards of coach Randy Alcantara, who shot 56% from the field as a team.
Captain Hook Mac Cardona pitched in 14 for the Knights, who virtually wrapped up the game in the opening frame where they unleashed a 12-0 run on the hapless Marlins to turn a close game into a wide open rout.
Ex-pro Norman Gonzales had 14 for the now 0-2 Socsargen.
The scores:
SAN JUAN 100 -- Clarito 21, Cardona 14, Wilson 9, Ayonayon 9, Rodriguez 7, Estrella 6, Saitanan 6, Tajonera 6, Ubalde 6, Reyes 6, Aquino 5, Pelayo 3, Salvado 2
