It has been a month since we've last seen an official National Basketball Association (NBA) game and now, we're a month away from the potential opening night of the 2020-2021 season.
The trade season will officially open on Monday (Tuesday Manila time). The 2020 NBA Draft will happen on Wednesday which will be followed by the opening of the free agency on Sunday at 12:01 PM Eastern time to open what will go down as the shortest offseason in league history.
If the tentative schedule that the NBA released will be the real deal, the 72-game regular season will open on December 22, 2020, and will end on May 16, 2021. The All-Star break will happen on March 5 to 10 and the play-in tournaments for the seventh to tenth seeds in each conference are scheduled from May 17 to 21. The 2021 playoffs will open on May 22. The conference semifinals will begin on June 7 while the conference finals will open on June 22. The 2021 NBA Finals is scheduled from July 8 to 22.
