Last week, the PLDT Home Fibr Hitters announced the signing of a quartet that is led by Eli Soyud. That was just the beginning of PLDT's massive recruitment haul as they prepare to join the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
Set to join an already loaded PLDT squad is Isa Molde.
Molde, an incoming fifth-year player for the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), is foregoing her final run in Diliman as she is set to be joined by another former UP standout in Marist Layug in the roster of the Power Hitters.
Molde was a beach volleyball bronze medalist during Season 80 and Season 81 of the UAAP and was also the Rookie of the Year of Season 78.
Layug meanwhile previously played for the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors in the Philippine SuperLiga (PSL).
“We’re blessed to get these new players and hopefully we would be allowed to start practice soon,” PLDT Head Coach Roger Gorayeb.
PLDT is returning to the PVL and is hoping to replicate the dominance it once held over the league when the Alyssa Valdez-led PLDT team dominated the PVL in 2015.
