San Juan Councilor Paul Artadi arrived late in the game and just played from the last 3 minutes of the 2nd quarter onwards. Still, he gave his alma mater a vintage performance and earned the recognition of best player of the game by having 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Back court partner Alvin Zuniga and firepower Ronald Tubid added to their cause by scoring 14 points each.
Without Artadi, the Warriors found themselves down by 14 points late in the second quarter as Paul Reguerra waxes hot with 9 points in that quarter alone.
The first 20 minutes of action ended with San Sebastian protecting a 9-point lead.UE turn things around after the break with Artadi unloading 10 of his 19 points in the 3rd quarter and the Warriors outscored the Stags 21-13 to cut the lead to one entering the fourth and final quarter.
It was a San Sebastian quarter until the fourth minute mark as they enjoy a 5 point lead, 63-58. However, Tubid, Artadi, and Zuniga joined forces to erect a 6-0 run that gave them a one-point lead with less than two minutes left in the ball game.
Artadi and Tubid then make big shots after big shots to keep the San Sebastian in bay and they get away with a hard-earned victory over the Stags.
