This past Thursday on “Usapang Sports”, Mr. Marcial gave a heads-up on everything and anything going in the league from PBA 3x3 to this year’s PBA draft to Calvin Abueva’s redemption.

According to Commissioner Marcial, the PBA 3x3 is still in its infancy and a lot of discussion has to be had before it happens. There have been reports that 3x3 will be used for league expansion.

Marcial spoke like a proud father on the subject of Abueva’s transformation from on-court villain and heel to a more formidable force on the court without the antics and shenanigans.

“It’s been, not just a 360 degree turn but maybe even a 720”, according to the amiable Commissioner. Currently, Abueva is in the running of Best Player of the Conference. What a road back to redemption if the Phoenix standout wins the award.

This coming PBA Draft is arguably the deepest in league history in terms of number of players who applied and the depth of talent. According to Marcial, this year’s draft may reach either the fourth of fifth round.
